My New RAP4 Paintball Gun is Jammed!

You're totally excited about the new RAP4 METS tactical paintball gun you just bought.  You get it out of the box and just love the way it feels in your hands.  It's perfectly weighted; you can feel a certain energy from this special edition tactical paintball marker - you can't wait to release its' anger on the paintball field!  After you get to the field, you fire a few magazines of .43 caliber paintballs and quickly fall in love with this paintball gun.  You load up another magazine and pull the trigger; expecting the same 'pop' when you rattle off a few more rounds, your deflated.....nothing.  The trigger is locked and nothing comes out of the gun.  You give it a once over, shake it a bit, check your CO2 and still.....nothing.  Your new RAP4 METS Special Edition is jammed.  What do you do?

The question is: where do you start?  What's wrong and how can I get my baby back?  First of all, if your RAP4 METS paintball gun is not working, don't panic; remember you have a METS special edition.  One of the features of this gun is that the trigger locks when the magazine is empty.  Considering this, the first (and easiest) thing to try is to add more ammo.  If this doesn't work, check the next most obvious thing....CO2.  You're not empty are you?

Next, figure the gun really is jammed.  First check to see if the ejector spring is broken.  To check this, open the top of the gun and look inside on the left-hand side.  You will see a tiny arm (this is the ejector arm) and is attached to the ejector spring.  If this is broken, you just figured out what's wrong with your paintball gun.  These are easy to get; simply visit ChoicePaintballGuns.com and let us know and we'll send you a couple or you can order one for about 6 dollars.

If the ejector spring is not broken, check to see if the chamber is clear.  Take the cap off the hopper attachment and peer inside the chamber.  Sometimes as you fire your new weapon, the ejector arm will hit and cause the metal to create a tiny 'bur' that may block anything from coming through.  If this is the case, try to file it down or chip it off.

These are generally the most common reasons for a RAP4 paintball gun to jam.  If these are not the answers to your problem, you can always contact us through email (help@choicepaintballguns.com) or call us at (276)614-8124.  Please realize however, we are a retailer of paintball guns and products, not a repair shop and we may not have a direct answer for you immediatley.  However at ChoicePaintballGuns.com, we pride ourselves in trying to provide the best customer service possible; if we don't have an answer for you right away, we'll definitely get one as quickly as possible.  You can also call the manufacturer (Real Action Paintball) and talk to their technical support line.  They can be reached at: (408)727-3144.
