green warlordWhether you’re a serious woodsballer or speedball is your gig, a paintball mask is absolutely essential gear.  Without it, you’re not even allowed to play; and shouldn’t considering eye damage is the only possible serious injury that could occur in paintball (other than broken bones).

When you first start playing, most people prefer to approach the world of paintball slowly and cheaply, attempting to purchase the most inexpensive mask they can find.  However, in reality, you will no doubt have tons of trouble searching for a spectacular mask that’s around $20.00.  $20 masks may be fine to start out with for your first couple games just to see if you like the sport.

But the real deal with paintball masks is you get what you pay for.  In fact, if you don’t want your face to be covered with a sweaty, uncomfortable and unappealing piece of plastic, then you should probably buy a mask that is at least in the $35-$60 range.  For the best paintball masks, look in the top range ($85-$150).

The sickest masks on the market to date are manufactured by Save Phace.  Not only do the masks allow for excellent vision and breathable performance, but the artwork laid out on top of them are the most wickedly astonishing graphics that you will ever find.  Even the low end Save Phace masks protect and perform as good as their top line.

Save Phace masks are also used and modified for other similar uses; called sports utility masks.  These are used by military forces located in the Middle-East, on account of the fact that they can even keep the strongest waves of desert sand out of soldiers’ eyes.  Save Phace also makes similar masks for water sports and other types of military or law enforcement training.

There are several different “series” Save Phace masks are categorized into and provide a range of pricing.  The “DISS” Series is the cheaper side of Save Phace, going at $49.00 each; although the “Dope” Series is just above those at $59.00.  This is probably the series of with the lowest variety, the “VooDoo” style being the most popular variation in this series.

The “So Phat” series exhibits some of the sickest things you can ever wear on your face.  The “Warlord” style is especially amazing, making their price of $82.00 something you wouldn’t think twice about.  The “Tagged” series are surely godly.  These masks go for $118.00 when buying from ChoicePaintballGuns, although it’s not uncommon to see them in other stores for a whopping $150.00.  No doubt an excellent deal, especially considering they come with a mask bag and extra lens.

Save Phace masks use a unique type of neoprene/foam material to help pad the face and help support the mask on your head.  They don’t slide around and are plenty comfortable to wear.  They also don’t get to hot from breathing hard because of the ventilation in the front and sides.  Thermal lenses are great for anti-fogging and you can also get them in smoked and yellow colors.  The masks with skull graphics look particularly menacing with dark lenses.

Both the So Phat and Tagged series also usually include a mask sack for travel and protective purposes; yet another reason to go the extra mile and get one of the better masks.  The fine artwork of Save Phace masks will make you want to baby it and keep it from getting scratched, dirty or messed up.

It’s a great idea to buy a Save Phace Protectant Kit to help take care of your mask.  The kit is very helpful in keeping your graphics at their original state of awesomeness.  It includes a cleaning solution and micro-fiber towel for cleaning perfection.  Oddly enough, be forewarned; the protectant solution is not intended for use on the masks lenses and will ruin them.

Overall, the Save Phace series of paintball masks are a great buy and will last you a long time with proper care.  The price is right for amazing, unique graphics, great ventilation, comfortable foam and excellent, quality lenses; Save Phace masks are top of the line.  Buy yours at ChoicePaintballGuns.com!
