The emergence of tactical paintball pistols onto the scenario paintball scene has greatly added to the realism of the game. Tactical pistols have become an essential part of most scenario paintballer’s gear. Some players love their pistols so much, they use them as their main paintball gun and often carry more than one. There are also many paintball pistol accessories to help with extra parts or upgrade your gun. The most commonly bought pistol accessories are magazines or clips to hold paintballs. Carrying several magazines with you during a game is always smart – running out of ammo too soon is a sure fire way to become a target. Most paintball pistol clips are small, light and easy to carry; many vests and pistol holsters even have pouches specifically for carrying extra magazines. Another essential pistol accessory is a holster. Most paintball pistol holsters either strap to your thigh and belt or attach to the front of a tactical vest. Holsters come in a variety of colors and camouflage patterns to match the rest of your gear. Make sure you get a holster that will fit your pistol! Holsters for .68 caliber pistols are too big for .43 caliber pistols and vice versa. The US Swat Leg Holster is usually for .43 caliber pistols, while the Tactical Paintball Pistol Leg Holster will fit either size. Pistol holsters also have an extra pouch to carry several magazines for your gun. You will also have to choose between a right or left handed holster; however, the TPX pistol holster is reversible (and will fit any .68 caliber pistol).
Other realistic accessories available for some paintball pistols are barrels – upgrading your gun’s performance and allowing cool attachments like silencers or muzzle brakes. There are several barrel upgrades for the TPX pistol, offering more possibilities of customization. Remember, silencers for paintball guns are not functional, but will turn the look of your pistol into an amazing secret agent tactical handgun. If your paintball pistol has a rail built into it, put a laser or tactical flashlight on in seconds! Lasers will greatly improve your aim and can slide under your gun’s barrel quickly and easily.
